Safari Birthday Cake

Well here is one of the reasons I couldn't par take in the Daring bakers challenge last month. The weekend I decided I would do it I ended up having this cake to do :) It was well fuuuun.... Moved to a new place with a very small oven... very small... haha I mean one 12 inch round at a time. One sheet cake at a time... it was brutal. I made a 12 inch round chocolate filled with Bavarian Creme, a 9 inch round filled with cream cheese icing, and a 9 x 13 inch sheet cake filled in cream cheese icing. I only have a picture of the the rounds. I used the Triple chocolate devils food cake from "The Cake Bible" and the Baravarian Creme. I then used the big bills carrot cake from "Baking from my home to yours". I was a bit worried about the carrot cake since the batter was a bit soupy. But it baked perfectly flat which was nice even with out the bake even strips. The chocolate cake recipe fill one 12 inch round by 2 inch high cake pan. The carrot cake recipe filled two 9 inch pans and half of one 9 x 13 inch pan. If anyone wants the recipes just leave a comment and I will get it to you some how. I don't feel like gettin in trouble for posting them on here.

Waterfall Cake

For my cousin's boyfriend I made this waterfall cake. It was a Luau Themed Birthday, it has a StrawberryVanilla buttercake top and Chocolate Peanut Butter cup bottom.

Another Birthday Cake

I never really know what to say in these blog things, I made a superman cake for my cousin. It is called Black and White Chocolate cake. I never remember to take a photo of the inside when its cut, too bad, because i am usually enjoying it. The icing didn't hold well soo some of the blue slid down the sides.. Oh well she loved it anyways. I also didn't tidy the plate up before this photo... oops.
