Well I made it, and it sucks... it tasted ok but it wasn't pretty I was less than happy with the results. The dough kept shrinking ahh yea it was just not a good day...anyways I was so frusterated with it I didn't even want to post it or take a photo, but my bf did so here it is...

well done. As you said your still newish to baking so I think you did really well.
I had the same trouble with shrinkage, I let it warm up a little (well closer to room temp) and that seemed to help. Was easier to roll then too.
Baking is all about learning and improving slowly. Thats the best part, learning something new each time you bake. And enjoying the work too, and then there's the eating... lol!
I'm with the others... this is *far* from a baking failure. I'd join Madcapcupcake in a slice or two with tea. :)
